Michelle Adamolekun, Chief People & Culture Officer
Michelle Adamolekun is Chief People & Culture Officer. Adamolekun leads a team of human resources professionals in increasing employee recruitment and retention, furthering Cone Health’s reputation as a great place to work and developing its leaders.
Adamolekun came to Cone Health in 2021 from Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where she was chief human resources officer. Previously she was an HR officer with Ascension Health–the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system. She is a board-certified coach and holds the Lean Green Belt designation in health care.
Adamolekun earned her Master of Science in human resources management from Texas State University.
Adamolekun has been named among the "Top 15 Champions for Diversity 2024" by Diversity Global Magazine. She is one of "2024’s Top Women Leaders" according to Modern Healthcare, a leading national trade publication, and was named by the Triad Business Journal as one of 2024’s Outstanding Women in Business. Adamolekun has also been placed among the Top 50 Healthcare Professionals by The Diversity First Consortium.
Adamolekun is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and is a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association.
Adamolekun is the founder and president of Jamaica Reggae Girlz Foundation. The non-profit connects and creates opportunities for the Jamaica Diaspora around the world.
She serves on the Guilford Works Workforce Development Board, the United Way of North Carolina Board, the Healthshare Credit Union Board, the NCHA Equity Committee, and the UMA & Nasium Training Executive Healthcare Advisory Board.
