Skip Hislop

Skip Hislop serves as vice president of the Southern Region for Cone Health. He is also vice president of oncology. Hislop leads all strategies and tactics to bring new services and programs to the identified Southern Region. He is also responsible for Cone Health Cancer Centers.     

Hislop joined Cone Health in 2011 as director of medical oncology and was named vice president of oncology later that year.

He earned a Master’s of Science degree in business management and a bachelor’s degree in health services management from the State University of New York, Polytechnic Institute. 

Hislop recently earned Coach Management Certification from Coach Academy International. Hislop has more than 30 years of health care experience, holding various leadership positions. He began his career as a radiologic technologist and remains licensed today. 

Hislop is a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers, the Health Management Academy Oncology division, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Healthcare Executives. 

Hislop serves on the board of the Randolph Health Cancer Center. Previously, he served on the Alight Foundation Board, was chairman of the Mission Committee for the American Cancer Society and board chairman of PACE of the Southern Piedmont. In 2017, he chaired the Cone Health United Way Campaign, achieving the highest level of giving and community impact ever.
