Cone Health Internal Medicine Center is proud to offer six faculty and 22 residents who serve as primary care providers for our patients. Our teaching environment means patients receive care from providers trained in the latest technology and research.

Primary Health Care Services

  • Procedures such as biopsies, incisions and drainage, and joint injections
  • Complete physicals, Medicare Annual Wellness visits, and hospital follow-up care
  • Bedside ultrasound guided evaluation and procedures

Our on-site resources include:

  • A registered dietician/certified diabetes educator
  • Phlebotomists
  • A financial counselor
  • Immediate access to all hospital-based radiology, dopplers, ultrasound testing and emergency care, if needed
  • Coordination with home health agencies
  • Coordination with specialty physical and mental health resources

Same-Day Appointments

Although we are not a walk-in clinic, we know last-minute needs arise. We can often accommodate same-day appointments if you call in advance.

Location Details

We are located on the east end of the ground floor of the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Our office is easily accessible by bus and offers valet parking, transport, and volunteer assistance. We also have an on-site cafeteria, coffee shop, and restaurant available.

Use MyChart to view medical test results, contact your provider, request prescription refills and do other tasks.

Appointment Guidelines

  • Before your scheduled appointment with us, you will receive two reminder phone calls.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. Bring your insurance card and a list of your current medications. 
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment – even on the day of the appointment – please give us a call to do so. 

After-Hours Calls

Call us after hours at (336) 832-7272 to reach our answering service and, if needed, the physician on call.

Payment Information

  • In most cases, you are expected to pay in full or pay your full co-payment for all office services at the time of your appointment. A financial counselor is available to discuss payment issues with you if you are having financial difficulties.
  • If you cannot provide proof of insurance, you will be totally responsible for payment of the bill at the time of your visit.

We are closed for lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Monday-Friday.  Our office is open until 5:00 PM Monday-Friday, but we aren’t available by phone after 4:30 PM. If you call after 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, our after-hours automated message will give you available options to contact a doctor if needed.
