Retired. Emeritus Investigator
Dr. Bruce Brodie is retired Clinical Professor of Medicine at UNC School of Medicine, past Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Cone Heart and Vascular Center, and Co-founder and Past President and Chairman of the LeBauer Cardiovascular Research Foundation. He was a leader in the use of balloon angioplasty and stenting for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction in the early 1980’s and subsequently led and participated in many studies to advance therapies for acute myocardial infarction. He has authored or co-authored over 160 peer review manuscripts and has continued his participation in clinical research since retiring from clinical cardiology in 2012.
