When Will You Be Seen

Please understand that as an emergency department, we must see patients in order of how dangerous their condition may be, according to the condition that they are in. It is our goal for all of our patients to receive the same excellent care, but we must attend to these patients first. Thank you, your patience helps to save lives.

Questions

If you have questions during your visit, do not hesitate to ask any member of our Emergency Department staff for assistance.

Emergency Department Do's and Don'ts

Because we want to keep our patients safe and to ensure that they receive care in a timely manner, we have some requests of our patients who are checked in and waiting to be seen by a provider.

DO: Remain in the Waiting Room

To avoid delays if a patient is not answering our call or is not visible we may call the next person in line. This could cause a delay in your care.

DO: Ask Questions

We pride ourselves in keeping our patients informed. Our staff will answer all questions related to care as well as possible.

DON'T: Eat or Drink Before Being Seen

Food and drink can sometimes create delays in care by complicating tests and procedures, and being dangerous in case of surgery. For this reason we ask our patients to not eat or drink until they are seen by a provider.
