Would you like to learn more about the best food choices and cooking methods for a healthy heart? Would you like an opportunity to prepare these foods in class and taste your results? This series of 4 classes will provide you the opportunity to modify recipes, substitute ingredients with good results and introduce you to new foods and recipes.

These classes are held at the MedCenter Greensboro at Drawbridge Parkway. Enter through the main doors. When you enter walk straight ahead. Walk past the Grab and Go Cafe'. The Teaching Kitchen is the next set of double glass doors on your left.
During this 4 week of classes we will examine ways to reduce fat, salt and sugar in our diets. Each week we fill focus on a different recommendation, preparing and sampling foods that follow that recommendation.
Week 1: Mediterranean Cooking. Using herbs for flavor, vegetables to add color and nutrients. We will prepare One-Pan Chicken Orzo with Peas and Spinach.
Week 2: Adding Omega 3's. We will prepare Garlic Roasted Salmon & Brussel Sprouts.
Week 3: Plant based meals. We will prepare Vegetarian Chili. You will not miss the meat.
Week 4: Recipe Remake. Learn techniques for taking your favorite recipes and reducing fat, sodium and added sugars. We will prepare Chicken Piccata with Whole Wheat Pasta.
