Cone Health Names Interim Hospital Presidents

Cone Health’s largest hospitals get new leadership.

Preston Hammock has been named interim president of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Vicki Moran has been named interim president of Alamance Regional Medical Center.

These moves are effective May 17 and come in the wake of Moses Cone Hospital President Mickey Foster leaving Cone Health on that day. Foster has been named CEO of First Health of the Carolinas. 

Hammock is currently president of Alamance Regional Medical Center and senior vice president at Cone Health. Since joining Alamance Regional in 2006, he has had various senior leadership roles. Hammock will maintain an advisory role at Alamance Regional.

Vicki Moran

Moran is currently vice president of operations at Alamance Regional Medical Center and leader of Cone Health's laboratory services. She joined Alamance Regional in 1986 as an administrative resident. Since then, Moran has held various leadership roles, assuming her current role in 2014. 

Hammock and Moran will remain in their interim roles while Cone Health conducts an internal and external search for Foster’s successor.
