Rizzo Named Vice President of Surgical Services
Cindy Rizzo will oversee and expand an array of surgical options.
Greensboro – Cindy Rizzo will oversee surgeries at Cone Health. As vice president of surgical services, she will be responsible for the quality, safety and operations of the facilities and surgical teams.
More than 32,000 surgeries were done last year by surgeons at Cone Health. Highly trained teams perform surgeries at these locations.

Rizzo joined Cone Health in 2013. Most recently she was the executive director of orthopedics and neuro spine service lines. Among her notable achievements was standardizing care, which improved care and efficiency.
Rizzo earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Queens University in Charlotte; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Gardner-Webb University and a Nursing Diploma from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte. Rizzo started her career as a surgical technologist, obtaining her degree from Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.
