Harvin Named Chief Pharmacy Officer at Cone Health
Harvin is responsible for maintaining the quality of and expanding the footprint of Cone Health’s pharmacy business.
Greensboro— Andre Harvin, PharmD, is the new chief pharmacy officer for Cone Health. Harvin previously led oncology pharmacy at Cone Health Cancer Centers.
As chief pharmacy officer, Harvin leads the team ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications to patients across Cone Health. Harvin will play a major role in the planting and growth of Cone Health’s direct to consumer pharmacy business through the establishment of Cone Health Community Pharmacy locations.
Harvin joined Cone Health in 2019 as a director of pharmacy for oncology services. He was promoted to executive director of pharmacy oncology in late 2021. He has been heavily involved in how Cone Health uses technology to better meet the needs of health care consumers.

Harvin has broad pharmacy experience—including working at a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company, a publicly-traded Fortune 500 company and an academic medical center.
Harvin received his doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in health system pharmacy administration from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In July, he will also graduate with his executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Harvin is a frequent speaker on leading pharmacy topics such as the accessibility and affordability of biosimilars and the roles pharmacists play in precision medicine.
Harvin is an adjunct professor in the High Point University School of Pharmacy. He was named one of the area’s 40 Under 40 honorees by the Triad Business Journal earlier this year.
