Cone Health Opens First Urgent Care in Winston-Salem

Greensboro--Cone Health opens its newest urgent care center and its first in Winston-Salem on Monday, Jan. 15. Cone Health Urgent Care at Burke Mill Village is at 3370 Frontis St., Suite C-5.

This location is at the epicenter of retail in Winston-Salem. More than 250 retailers sit within a mile radius. “It is a very familiar location that consumers already know well,” says Senior Vice President, Ambulatory & Consumer Services, Deno Adkins. “It is also easy to get to from I-40, which means we are convenient to a large portion of Winston-Salem and even into Clemmons.”
The nearly 3,400-sq.-ft. facility will open with a dozen employees. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Cone Health Urgent Care at Burke Mill Village has x-ray and basic lab services onsite.
Urgent care centers are ideal for treating ailments that aren’t severe enough for an emergency department visit, and when the person can’t get a timely doctor’s appointment. Typical reasons for an urgent care visit include:
