‘Miracle Baby’ Born at Alamance Regional on 2/22/22 at 2:22 a.m.

Baby Judah Grace Spear is a special gift for more reasons than her birth stats.

Burlington – Aberli and Hank Spear will remember this Tuesday for the rest of their lives – and only partly because it brought them their first child.

The Burlington couple welcomed baby Judah Grace Spear into the world on Feb. 22, 2022. And the coincidences don’t stop there. The baby girl was born at 2:22 a.m. in delivery room No. 2 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

This numerical phenomenon would be enough to make the moment unforgettable for any new parent, but baby Judah’s story goes even deeper. Her mom, Aberli, is a survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. While cancer treatments saved her life, they also made a successful pregnancy unlikely.

After a long journey, the Spears received a priceless reward for their faith, patience and perseverance on this special Tuesday. And they plan to show their gratitude through the name of their new child.

“We chose the name Judah because it means ‘praise’ in Hebrew,” she said. “She’s our miracle baby.”
