Description

The After Breast Cancer Class is temporarily meeting virtually via WebEx.

The WebEx link will be provided after registering. 

After Breast Cancer Class is a specially designed exercise class to assist you in a safe recovery after having breast cancer surgery.  In this class you will learn how to get back to full function whether your drains were just removed or if you had surgery a month ago.

This one-time class is held the first and third Monday of every month from 11 a.m. until noon and is temporarily being held virtually using WebEx. This is an app you will need to download either on your computer or phone in order to participate. 

Class Goals

  • Understand specific stretches to improve the flexibility of your chest and shoulder.
  • Learn ways to safely strengthen your upper body and improve your posture.
  • Understand the warning signs of infection and why you may be at risk for an arm infection.
  • Learn about Lymphedema and prevention.

***You do not attend this class until after surgery.  Drains must be removed to participate.
