Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care

When you or a loved one faces an illness or injury, turn to Cone Health’s chaplains for caring, sensitive emotional and spiritual support that helps you cope.

What’s a Chaplain?

Chaplains provide comfort, support and counseling to people of all faiths and belief systems. At Cone Health, you’ll benefit from working with our chaplains as part of your multidisciplinary care team. Ask them to:

  • Serve as an empathetic listener
  • Provide one-on-one counseling
  • Offer spiritual support
  • Help you make decisions about future medical care
  • Administer religious rites or rituals
  • Help you get in touch with your church, synagogue or mosque
  • Assist with ethics consultations
  • Provide bereavement care, including support for miscarriage and infant loss

Your nurses, doctors and other providers also may use spiritual care services to help them give you the best possible care.

Compassionate Support for All Faiths

Enjoy spiritual care that focuses on your values, beliefs and sense of self. You’ll appreciate the caring presence of chaplains who give you a voice, understand your perspective, and help you work through crises in whatever way makes sense to you.
