I was born at one of the hospitals within the Cone Health system, and through the years, this has been the place where I have watched my friends and family receive care as well. I always knew that I wanted to work here because of my exposure to their supportive and caring environment from as long as I can remember. I started as an entry-level bedside nurse 42 years ago at Cone Health. People have a lot of opportunities for career growth across Cone Health. During the early stages of my nursing career, people coached me and mentored me along the way. As I continued to learn and grow in my chosen field, my team supported me as I obtained my bachelor’s degree in nursing and I was eventually promoted. I went on to continue my education while working and obtained my masters in business administration. Being able to further my education while working in my field allowed me to really thrive and also support my family financially. The sky is the limit as far as your ability to grow professionally at Cone Health, and the support you need to accomplish your goals is right there with you.
