Accredited Lung Cancer Screening
If you smoke or used to smoke, a simple imaging test at Cone Health may help your doctor detect lung cancer early—when it’s easier to treat. Learn about our low-dose CT lung cancer screening program.
Minimally Invasive Lung Surgery
Minimally invasive lung surgery is called the Video Assisted Thoracoscopy Surgery (VATS). This technique uses small incisions to guide advanced instrumentation through the chest. Thoracic surgeons are able to visualize and take out abnormal lung tissue.
With this advanced, minimally invasive procedure, you’ll experience less pain, a shorter hospital stay and a reduced risk of complications compared with traditional diagnostic surgery. The procedure also helps your doctor make a more precise diagnosis, so you receive the treatment that’s right for you.
